Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade brings a new anime action RPG to consoles in 2024

Here's a fun looking new game I tripped over earlier today - Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade, an action Roguelite RPG set in Edo Japan, with some absolutely stunning art and a great looking trailer.

Featuring multiple protagonists with interweaving storylines, this looks like a title with a lot of replay value. Developed by indie Taiwanese developer 7QUARK, it will be released later this year on PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch and PC. Hopefully we can get more of the luscious illustrations in a digital or physical artbook when it arrives.

From the Press Release:
Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade is an action Rougelite RPG with three protagonists that players can choose from to experience their own stories, each with different weapons and attack modes to bring different experiences to the player.

Choose the weapon combination that best suits your style of play and find the truth in the circle of life and death. Each weapon has different features and effects. As the game progresses, more weapons can be unlocked by collecting materials.

Furthermore, each weapon taken out can be enhanced with different effects by collecting "Soul Orbs". Some of the "Soul Orbs" can even trigger a synergistic effect between the two weapons carried, requiring players to consider their choices of "Soul Orbs" during gameplay.

The story is based on the cycle of life and death, and revolves around a place called the "Sword Grave". Each of the three protagonists presents a distinct narrative, providing players with unique experiences. Through intertwining narratives, these protagonists may cross paths, adding layers of intrigue to the overarching storyline. Players will uncover the impact of these encounters firsthand upon the game's release.
