Studio TRIGGER working on 40th anniversary Transformers anime project

It feels like a dream, but finally the Transformers franchise is producing a Transformers anime with Studio TRIGGER (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Kill La Kill). There's no firm information about exactly what this project will entail, but no doubt the quality will be up to their usual incredible standard.

A teaser trailer has been uploaded to Youtube, featuring multiple generations of Transformers characters (Armada Sparkplug alongside G1 Optimus, Rodimus, Megatron and Star Saber all appear).

Arguably the 1986 Transformers: The Movie animated film remains the high point of stylish animated Transformers action, but if anyone can take that crown, it has to be Studio TRIGGER.

We'll be keeping ears to the ground for more info on this, in the meantime, enjoy the teaser:
