Playstation drop Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Trailer

Arc System Works take the reigns

Written by Ross Locksley on 05 Jun 2025

Sony have released an announcement trailer for an upcoming Marvel fighter titled Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. This time however, it won't be Capcom helming the team brawler, but Guilty Gear creators Arc System Works, a studio that has shepherded many IP's into the fighting arena including Granblue Fantasy, DNF Duel and Persona 4 to name but three.

At present the game is touted for PS5 and PC in 2026, but judging by the trailer, which features Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Storm, Ghost-Rider, Ms Marvel, Doctor Doom and Star Lord, they have a clear artistic direction and are going big and bold.

The Hulkbuster makes an appearance, presumably an Iron Man ultimate move, and the crisp backgrounds have some great touches, such as the original Avengers statue featuring the early designs for the team. Nice.
