Playstation Trailer Round Up June 2025

Written by Ross Locksley on 07 Jun 2025

We've had a bevvy of new game trailers land today (largely thanks to Playstation's Summer of Play event), so rather than flood the news section with every one individually, here's a round up of the ones that raised an eyebrow so far.

Street Fighter 6: Year 3

The official Street Fighter Youtube channel dropped a trailer for the characters coming for Year 3 of Street Fighter 6, and fair to say it's a mixed bag. Essentially we have Alex, Ingrid, Sagat and Crimson Viper on the way, none of which particularly excite me, but may do something for you.

Sonic Crossworlds Racing

As a big fan of Sonic Racing games (honestly I find them more enjoyable than Mario Kart, blasphemous as that probably is) I'm pretty stoked for this one. The new game features the return of some Sonic fan-favourites, such as the Babylon Rogues from Sonic Riders (Jet, Storm and Wave) as well as characters from other universes, including Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona 5 and Ichiban Kasuga from the Yakuza series. One to watch!

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree

Another anime-styled Roguelite, this looks to be a lot of fun for fans of the genre. Huge bosses, gorgeous designs and fast action could make it a rival to the recently released Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade:

Resident Evil 9: Requiem

The new game revolves around Grace Ashcroft, daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil: Outbreak, investigating deaths in a desolated town. It certainly looks the part (once it gets going!) time will tell if it's a classic entry.

Code Vein II

The return of the action RPG series, the first one was good (selling over 3 million copies no less) but always felt as though it under-performed critically. In this sequel trailer, there's some incredibly cool gothic design here, with creepy human cavities and monstrous foes - it looks to be a time-travel adventure to prevent an apocalypse that, if Namco Bandai have ironed out a few niggles, could be a monster hit.

Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

I loved the first season of the anime and, despite a slightly ropey season 2, it remains popular with fans, spawning spin-offs and plenty of merchandise. This latest game from 7DSOrigin showcases some beautiful graphics that mirror the anime perfectly. Promising both the beloved original cast and new characters to discover, if this trailer is at all indicative of the gameplay, this could be amazing. The console version is exclusive to PS5, but it will be available on PC and mobile too.

Silent Hill f

Taking a decidedly different tone from The Seven Deadly Sins, Silent Hill f's trailer is horrifying in all the right ways - the dark Japanese streets add a wonderful sense of place and the truly disturbing monsters should be treat in September!
