Isaki Uta The Lost and Found collection coming to Kickstarter

Written by Ross Locksley on 25 Jul 2023

An exciting new project has been announced by Irodori Comics - a box set of four stories by Isaki Uta (author of Is Love The Answer?) to be available exclusively on Kickstarter.

The comics all feature stories revolving around gender and sexual identity, and considered to a genre leader in LGBTQ+ stories in Japan.

From the Press Release:

The Isaki Uta: The Lost & Found Collection box set will feature four classic doujinshi available both in print (for the first time) and digitally, including Mine-Kun is Asexual as well as Leaper, Mermaid in the Bottle, and Silkscreen. The Kickstarter pre-launch page for the box set is now live, which allows you to sign up to receive an email notification when the project officially goes live later this summer.

As our translator ITSUKI said, "Isaki Uta's works are gems in the world of Japanese LGBTQ+ comics. The relationships between characters aren't cookie cutter and show the rawness and intensity of discovering one's sexuality and gender identity. It makes queer individuals like myself feel seen and that these kinds of stories are worth telling."

You can sign up to be notified of the launch on Kickstarter.
