British author and pioneer of promoting Japanese culture in the UK Helen McCarthy will be giving a talk in Bradford on the 25th June at 11:45am.

This is a rare chance to see an expert on the topic outside of London, not to mention a chance to enjoy the National Science & Media Museum too.

Helen McCarthy, British author of anime reference books, including 500 Manga Heroes and Villains, Anime! and The Anime Movie Guide comes to BLF to take you on a journey through the genre, its history, its relevance in culture and the best entry points to start your own anime story.
