Gestalt Steam & Cinder lands on Steam

Written by Ross Locksley on 16 Jul 2024

We don't cover every Action RPG on Steam as we don't have the manpower, but one that has us excited is Gestalt: Steam & Cinder. Featuring gorgeous pixel graphocs, some beautiful promo art and, judging from the trailer, a pounding soundtrack. The game has a 10% discount for its launch period on Steam.

The game launched today and has a new trailer to whet your whistle:

About the game:

Take up arms as Aletheia, an elite Soldner of the Steam City of Canaan, wielding long-lost tech and mysterious power to smash through monsters and machines, and uncover ancient secrets that lie at the very foundation of Canaan. Enter a world of rust and ruin, where deep enmities smoulder and suppressed threats reemerge, working with allies new and old to protect Canaan and unlock your true potential. Take on side jobs, unlock new skills, upgrade your abilities, earn Scrap, and delve into a history lost to time, as you fight for the very future of Canaan–and humankind.

Features:

  • Become a Soldner – Join Aletheia on a heroic quest through Canaan, the Steam City. Combine close-quarters melee with lethal ranged gun combat to unleash staggering combos in challenging encounters and epic boss fights.

  • Unleash Your Inner Flame – Discover the long-buried past of Canaan and uncover secrets lost to time on a thrilling, unpredictable journey.

  • Unlock Powerful Skills – Discover and upgrade new abilities and skills to become an unstoppable force against enemies both new and long-forgotten, trading scrap for new accessories to customise your character build.

  • A Beautiful, Handcrafted World – Meet a vibrant cast of characters and journey through a world of stunning pixel art and spectacular handcrafted animations.
